    The Social Media Specialist is responsible for the day-to-day content on the Company's social channels--both proactive and reactive. The Specialist is responsible for story curation, gathering user-generated content, and crisis response, as well as advising, drafting, approval, education, and routing of social needs from internal Departments and partners.


    Duties and Responsibilities

    Your main responsibilities in this role include the following:

    • Must be able to meet any physical ability requirements listed on this description.

    • May perform other job duties as directed by Employee's Leaders.

    • Responsible for the day-to-day content on the Company's social channels.

    • The Specialist is responsible for story curation and gathering user-generated content, as well as advising, drafting, approval, education, and routing of Business Partners’ social needs.

    • Also responsible for populating the social content calendar.

    • The Specialist is responsible for advising on Company response on social and advising various Business Partners on how best to use social to achieve their goals. That also may include helping to capture content locally or on-location for various assignments.

    • This role will be responsible for social crisis response and issues management. The Specialist is also responsible for social media training for the Company, and may act as a Company spokesperson.


    Job Requirements

    • Required: High School Diploma or GED

    • Preferred: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience

    • Required: Minimum 4 years experience in lieu of Bachelor's Degree.

    • Preferred: Experience working in social media or related field

    • Preferred: Experience working in social media platform tools (ex. Sprinklr, etc)

    • Ability to perform work duties from [limited space work station/desk/office area] for extended periods of time

    • Ability to use a computer with sufficient speed and accuracy to meet the demands of the job

    • Ability to bend, stand, and sit for extended periods of time

    • Ability to communicate and interact with others in the English language to meet the demands of the job

    • Ability to travel long hallways in large buildings and in between campus buildings

    • Must be able to comply with Company attendance standards as described in established guidelines.

    • Strong knowledge and understanding of social and digital media landscape.

    • Basic understanding of social media regulatory and legal guidelines.

    • Strong project management and organizational skills

    • Experience working in social media content calendaring, publishing, listening, measurement, and display tools.

    • Ability to identify and curate stories through social media engagement and/or listening tools.

    • Ability to perform ad hoc and recurring analysis through social media measurement and/or listening tools.

    • Must be a motivated, self-starter able to prioritize projects with time constraints and complete them in a timely manner.

    • Thinks outside the box and finds opportunities to innovate.

    • Must collaborate effectively.

    • Must work well with others as part of a Team.

    • Must have exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

    • Must be able to handle multiple projects simultaneously with strong attention to detail.

    • Must be able to present self well and have the ability to present in large or small settings.

    • Must keep abreast of information pertinent to job.

    • Must maintain a well-groomed appearance per Company appearance standards as described in established guidelines.

    • Must be a U.S. citizen or have authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986.

    • Must be at least 18 years of age.

    • Must be able to comply with Company attendance standards as described in established guidelines.

    • Must have ability to be on call and/or travel as needed, including evenings and weekends.

    • Must maintain a well-groomed appearance per Company appearance standards as described in established guidelines.
