We are hiring interns for the fall semester where you will work side by side with our Tech Ops maintenance program team, tackling technical writing problems and learning about our industry. Internships are paid, and course credit hours may be considered depending on university’s guidelines. Interns are eligible for travel privileges, and some may be eligible for a one-time relocation stipend. Interns are placed throughout our system, depending on the project / discipline. Following are possible locations: Chicago, IL
Your main responsibilities in this role include the following:
Duties and Responsibilities
Aid in authoring and management of technical manuals, company manuals, and task cards
Lead process improvement and automation projects
Support platform transition projects
Assisting with other duties as assigned
Job Requirements
Must be currently enrolled full-time in an a degree program
Ability to work well with others and communicate effectively with people at all levels.
Professional demeanor, excellent written, and verbal skills.
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Products.
Completed college level technical writing course
Data analysis skills and/or strong knowledge of Excel
Must have a minimum of 12 semester hours in core Technical Writing or related degree program.
Individual should be a rising junior (at minimum) when internship begins.
Work related travel may be required, individuals must be able to travel without any restrictions.
Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the US for any employer without sponsorship.
Completed college level technical writing course.
