    The Administrative Assistant directly reports to the Director, IT Revenue Accounting and Financial Document Management. This position performs diversified and confidential administrative duties requiring experience, skill and knowledge of Delta’s programs, policies, and procedures. The candidate must be well organized, flexible and enjoy the administrative challenges of supporting an office of diverse people and programs.

    Your main responsibilities in this role include the following:


    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Files, documents, and prepares invoices, vouchers, reports, decks, memos, letters, and other documents, utilizing MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Visio, and Outlook.

    • Performs floor support for the building including ordering supplies, mail, coordinating and supporting events, scheduling service as needed, etc.

    • Schedules and maintains calendar, meeting, and travel itineraries, and participates in related arrangements for Director.

    • Screens telephone calls and visitors; uses communication and interpersonal skills to greet customers, business partners, and employees; and resolves routine and complex inquiries.

    • Reserves conference rooms and arranges catering as necessary to support meetings.

    • Practices safety-conscious behaviors in all operational processes and procedures.


    Job Requirements

    • High School Diploma, GED or High School Equivalency

    • Requires computer skills in Microsoft Outlook and proficiency in Windows-based applications like Word, PowerPoint and Excel.

    • Must be team-oriented and able to coordinate activities across multiple departments working closely with administrative assistants in other areas.

    • Must have the ability to make travel arrangements.

    • Must have strong communication skills, verbally and in writing, with all levels of staff, from frontline employees to executive staff.

    • Must have the interpersonal skills necessary to direct the activities of others.

    • Detail skills necessary to ensure that information is accurate and correct, that documents are grammatically correct, and that work is completed in a timely manner.

    • Embraces diverse people, thinking and styles.

    • Consistently makes safety and security, of self and others, the priority.

    • Must be performing satisfactorily in current position.

    • Where permitted by applicable law, must have received or be willing to receive the COVID-19 vaccine by date of hire to be considered for U.S.-based job, if not currently employed by Delta Air Lines, Inc.

    • PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

    • Previous administrative experience preferred

    • Experience working in IT is preferred

    • Knowledge of corporate business processes and procedures such as expense reporting, purchasing and departmental budget preferred

    • Financial experience as it relates to budget tracking and analysis is preferred

    • Hands on knowledge of Delta Reservation systems, hotel booking, and expense reporting systems preferred
