Job Description
Responsible for supporting the Flight Ops strategy to continue to build and strengthen the brand by providing support for Pilot Selection.
Duties and Responsibilities
Your main responsibilities in this role include the following:
Responsible for the day-to-day coordination between candidates and interview staff
Responsible for the collection, review and distribution of all candidate paperwork
Responsible for coordinating the scheduling of all Pilot Interviewers with Crew Scheduling
Responsible for coordinating the scheduling of all Human Resources Interviewers with contracted vendor
Responsible for booking of Interviewer hotels
Will serve as point of contact with psychologist team members
Will coordinate psychological testing logistics
Responsible for the approvals of contractor hours
Serve as a back-up for HR Interviewing
Serve as a back-up to the Manager for initial candidate briefings
Identifies and makes recommendations to leaders on strategies for improved processes/procedures
Utilize airline reservation system to book/modify candidate travel
Embraces diverse people, thinking and styles
Consistently makes safety and security, of self and others, the priority
Job Requirements
Must have a history of high performing work
Must be able to provide attention to detail, be organized, methodical and able to maintain strict confidentiality
Experience with interviewing and an understanding of HR compliance as it relates to interviewing
Should demonstrate self-initiative and able to work with minimal direction
Must have the ability to analyze, anticipate/identify problematic issues and develop, communicate and implement plans and solutions
Must communicate effectively in written and verbal formats
Will have to interface at all leadership levels within and outside of the organization
Must be able to effectively use MS suite of applications at least at an intermediate level
Pace of work flow will require the ability to plan, organize and effectively manage multiple tasks and responsibilities simultaneously
Practice safety-conscious behaviors in all processes and procedures
An understanding of pilot hiring requirements is strongly preferred
Previous experience in hiring is a plus
A diverse background in Delta’s various operational departments is strongly recommended
Knowledge of Delta’s processes and systems is a plus
