Duties and Responsibilities
- Enforcing and following all Standard Operating Procedures.
- Operating safety and emergency equipment.
- Upholding exceptional traveler service standards.
- Completing service and sales in line with WestJet service standards.
- Anticipating and addressing travelers’ needs.
- Managing uncomfortable situations with the public.
- Adhering to uniform and appearance standards as prescribed under company policy.
Team Contributions
- Ensuring guest safety, security, and comfort, ensuring compliance with WestJet and Transport Canada regulations.
- Being a customer ambassador, multitasking, and punctual.
- Traveling and flexible, capable of staying away from home for up to five nights.
- Preference for candidates who speak English and one or more of the following languages: French, Japanese, Korean, Cantonese, Mandarin, Spanish, Italian, German, Portuguese, Dutch, Hindi, Punjabi, or Tagalog.
Requirements
- Advanced communication skills in written and spoken English.
- Proficient in reading English for successful training completion.
- Customer service experience is a valuable asset.
- Problem-solving and quick decision-making skills are essential.
- Comfort in working in confined spaces and flexibility in schedules.
- Must be 19 years or older, hold a valid passport, or a Canadian Permanent Resident card.
- Must be able to reach 204 cm without shoes and raise on the balls of the feet.
- Must obtain and maintain an Airport Restricted Area Identification Card.
- Can travel internationally without restrictions.
- Can lift 50 pounds from floor to waist and 22 pounds’ overhead.
- Must complete an initial training program.
- Can travel away from home for extended periods.
- Ready to work 24/7/365y.
- Available for reserve shifts.
- Must pass a WestJet Post Offer Employment Test.
