    Duties and Responsibilities

    Your main responsibilities in this role include the following:

    • Supply Chain Commodity Manager - Airprt Customer Service (ACS) Supply Chain is responsible for sourcing and managing contracts for key products and services utilized by Delta's ACS department.

    • This includes ground support equipment and above and below wing services like wheelchair, passenger handling, cabin cleaning, security, ramp handling, and skyclubs in all 300+ airports DL flies to.

    • The Commodity Manager builds and sustains relationships with business leaders, suppliers and sourcing professionals.

    • They must understands the short and long term business unit strategy to develop and execute commodity sourcing strategies to align with the business unit. (Commodity is defined as all tangible and intangible elements of any products or services which Delta utilizes in its business.)

    • Will have primary responsibility for leading supplier RFPs, negotiations, and selection.

    • Also manages the ongoing contract compliance and commercial relationship with suppliers. Some travel is required

    • A minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in Finance, Supply Chain or other closely related field is strongly preferred.

    • The following skills and competencies are strongly preferred: Managing work, Proficient level of ACS commodity expertise, industry research, financial analysis, strategic sourcing, TCO/design-to-cost, negotiation, contract management, presentation skills, meeting leadership, communication, project management, and value-based decision analysis.

    • Fully competent in optimizing own capacity, demonstrating openness and self-confidence, understanding the system, achieving greater results, accepting and building accountability, using judgment and common sense, and systemic thinking.

    • Demonstrates developing ability in enhancing and sustaining the performance of others.

    • Must be performing satisfactorily in current position.

    • Preferred Qualifications

    • A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Finance, Supply Chain Management or other closely related field strongly preferred, or 5 years of relevant experience.

    • An advanced degree is preferred.
