    The TechOps Supply Chain Warranty team is seeking an experienced professional to join as a Specialist - Warranty Supply Chain Management, responsible for the execution of warranty claim project management.

    Important attributes for this role include being a self-starter, accountable to self and driving accountability from suppliers. The Specialist must work collaboratively with frequent interaction with internal stakeholders and understanding their constraints; be relationship-driven, solution-oriented, strategic, and a good problem solver; and be able to work with minimal supervision and superior prioritization skills to enable complete ownership of projects. A basic understanding of aviation warranty processes, contracts, and metrics is highly preferred.


    Duties and Responsibilities

    Your main responsibilities in this role include the following:

    • Analyzes and interprets complex data sets and attends meetings to create warranty claims, solicits internal stakeholder feedback to ensure full warranty capture, uses correct external process for warranty claim filing with each Supplier, and manages each claim until completion.

    • Builds and fosters relationships with Engineering departments, Materials groups, and production shops across Delta TechOps to identify part failures and reliability issues; finds the opportunity and executes into turning into warranty claims.

    • Develops strong internal (Delta) relationships with Sourcing Managers in Supply Chain to understand and execute on claiming contract entitlements; influences future contract language as a participant in the contract creation process.

    • Develops strong external (Supplier and Aircraft Manufacturer) relationships to enhance ability to negotiate both contractual and concessionary warranty claim settlements.

    • Proactively engages with Suppliers to hold them to a high level of accountability to drive warranty claims to completion.

    • Supports developing improvements to the efficiency, productivity, and performance of the internal Delta warranty process(es).

    • Works closely within the warranty team to understand administration of fleet performance warranties and guarantees (for example, D&Cs, IFSD rate).

    • Practices safety-conscious behaviors in all operational processes and procedures.


    Job Requirements

    • Must have a bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business Analysis, Finance, Operations or Strategic Management (or other related degree) plus a minimum of three years of relevant work experience.

    • Must be comfortable leading negotiations across all levels of management.

    • Must have exemplary written and verbal interpersonal skills.

    • Need to have advanced Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel proficiency.

    • Must be able to understand and develop complex spreadsheets and presentations and interpret to peers and upper management alike.

    • Should have a high level of initiative and intuition in managing workload, identifying business issues for analysis, structuring projects, and implementing change.

    • Travel may be required 5-10%.

    • (If transferring internally) Must be performing satisfactorily in current position.

    • Preferred Qualifications

    • Familiarity with aviation warranty processes, contracts, and metrics is highly preferred
