Job Description
The Finance department, which manages the company’s budgets, forecasts and investments, and provides analysis of our financial performance and strategies.
Primarily responsible for managing all aspects of fixed assets and work in process sub-ledger. Prepare work in process and fixed asset reporting.
Duties and Responsibilities
Maintain fixed asset sub-ledger and resolve any system related issues
Perform depreciation reasonableness testing; reviews fixed asset system interface to assure its accuracy prior to handoff to general ledger
Analyze asset related account activities, prepare variance explanation, cash flow and roll forward reports
Prepare depreciation forecast
Coordinate and lead the annual physical inventory audit
Compliance with the Company’s existing SOX and internal control processes
Manage and maintain Work-in-progress sub-ledger
Review capital project expenditures for appropriateness prior to capitalize expenditures in the Fixed Asset System
Maintain electronic Job-Folders
Prepare capital project closing status and monthly status reports.
Prepare journal entries such as capitalized interest and accruals; ensure the timely closing of books
Provide fixed asset data, information, and reports to meet all internal and external reporting requirements
Prepare audit schedules and assist with SEC schedules
Perform any other projects assigned on an as-needed basis
Job Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related fields
2 years+ experience in accounting
Basic computer skills (Word, Excel); knowledge of CapTrack and Crystal Reports a plus
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship
Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification
Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position
