Job Description
This job is a member of the International Accounting Team within the Finance Division. Responsible for supporting the Accounting Manager in the processing and maintenance of accounting activities such as appropriately analyzing, processing, and documenting in compliance with internal controls, process and procedure.

Duties and Responsibilities
Your main responsibilities in this role include the following:
Oversees the disbursement processes ensuring timely and accurate payment processing in compliance with company policy and legal requirements
Responsible for processing payrolls; ensuring payroll is accurate, timely and in compliance with all country specific statutory requirements and appropriate taxes and benefit withholdings are made
Processes related general ledger/financial statement accounting for payroll taxes and employee benefits
Interacts with managers to answer payroll and related questions; provides training/guidance as required
Monitors cash account balances for each country
Performs account analysis, reconciliations, and preparation of journal entries to the general ledger
Manages the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual tax filings, payments, and supporting schedules
Maintains the tax calendar to ensure all filings/payments are done timely to ensure fines and penalties are not incurred
Supervises the day-to-day maintenance and projects associated with those areas of responsibility
Provides technical direction and training to internal customers as necessary
Assists the Accounting Manager with projects as requested and ad-hoc reporting as necessary
Job Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
Ability to maintain and respect confidentiality at all times and to ensure adherence to the Company’s Confidentiality Policy
Ability to undertake appropriate training as needed and to take responsibility for self-development
Demonstrates excellent qualitative and quantitative analytical
Ability to work with mainframe based tools; proficient with PC and Microsoft Office software (e.g., Excel, Word, Access, and PowerPoint)
Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment, with minimal supervision
Strong organizational skills
Previous related accounting experience
Demonstrated knowledge of airline accounting practices
Demonstrated knowledge of SAP
