British Airways has an exciting opportunity open for a Part Time Mechanic. This position will be based at Hartsfield–Jackson Atlanta International Airport.

British Airways has an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Part Time Mechanic stationed at ATL. The successful applicant will have responsibilities that include, but are not limited to:

Duties and Responsibilities

Your main responsibilities in this role include the following:

• Troubleshoots to determine malfunctions on aircraft avionics components and electrical systems components, such as airborne navigation/communication systems, weather radar, autopilot, compass systems and accessories component level.

• Tests and inspects aircraft communications components, navigation components, weather radar, autopilot, compass systems and accessories to MFG specifications.

• Repairs, overhauls and modifies aircraft communication components, navigation components, autopilot and other electrical systems components and accessories to MFG specifications.

• Uses all mandated safety equipment and complies with all safety requirements in accordance with company and government regulations and guidelines.

• Completes all checklists, forms and reports as required in accordance with the company, government and FAA regulations and guidelines.

• Participates in on-the-job training with onsite personnel.

• Maintains adequate knowledge to understand and follow the repair facility’s inspection procedures manual.

• Exhibits positive, courteous behaviour with customers, businesses and co-workers.

• Assists co-workers and those in other departments to successfully perform job tasks and functions when necessary.

Job Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent

• Valid A&P Licenses or in progress of obtaining the licenses

• Must have three (3) to five (5) years’ experience in aviation maintenance

• Must be able to work as part of a team in a high pressure, fast-paced environment.

• Must be highly motivated and organized.

• Must be able to lift fifty (50) pounds

• FCC General Radiotelephone License.

• You must have employment authorisation to work in the United States.
