Summer Intern – Technical Operations (Supply Chain)
As an intern, you will hold key responsibilities for executing strategic cross-functional initiatives within the Supply Chain organization in areas of logistics, vendor management, inventory management, procurement, and internal manufacturing sites. You will partner with business leaders and subject matter experts to solve strategic problems and drive measurable and sustainable performance improvements.

Successful candidates will leverage a strong understanding of supply chain fundamentals to conduct strategic business case analyses and project management/execution.
Duties and Responsibilities
Your main responsibilities in this role include the following:
Partner with Supply Chain leaders to define and execute process improvement solutions to business problems using rigorous project management and analytical techniques
Coordinate cycle time reduction initiatives to increase velocity across internal and external supply chain functions
Support implementation of our groundbreaking Warehouse Management System
Aid in the development of supplier scorecard metrics to drive negotiations, strengthen partnerships, and support executive business reviews
Conduct analysis and disposition activities for surplus inventory to reduce carrying costs and generate incremental revenue
Support benchmarking studies to identify areas for improvement and develop best practices to drive efficiency gains and waste elimination. Evaluate, test, and recommend new opportunities to enhance processes and tools as applicable.
Ensure alignment and prioritization with business objectives and initiatives – help business owners make faster, smarter decisions.
Foster collaboration through the sharing of information and development of SOPs with cross-functional stakeholders
Job Requirements
Currently obtaining a bachelor’s degree in the field of Supply Chain Management, Management Information Systems, Industrial Engineering or related field graduating Fall 2021 or Spring 2022
Tenacious problem solver and critical thinker who can work through ambiguity
Intellectual curiosity and ability to transform data into actionable information and decision support tools
Proficiency with Microsoft Office software suite
Effective at planning, prioritizing, and executing several projects simultaneously
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship
Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualifications
Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position
Experience in student organization leadership roles
Aviation internship experience
Supply chain internship experience
Double major in aviation, industrial engineering, math/statistics, or related field
Experience using database querying tools
Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma techniques
