Kuwait Airways is actively recruiting for the position of Traffic Officer - MAN in Ground Handling Department. In this role, the responsibilities include checking in passengers and baggage at respective check-in counters, issuing of excess baggage form, collecting cash or credit card receipts and checking passport for validity and visa. Liaising with Immigration Authorities at Kuwait Airport to facilitate clearance of passenger, cabin and deck crew, KAC and other carriers' flights, arranging all requirements for transitting passengers, preparing manually or computer passenger manifests, closing flights and preparing Passenger Transferring Manifests (PTM), etc. Carries out any combination of the following duties related to passenger handling services: checking in KAC and other carriers' passengers and baggage at Kuwait Airport check-in counters, checking passenger ticket fare and flight details and passport for validity and visa availability, advising Supervisor of any irregularity thereto, securing baggage on the scale, taking weight readings and indicating weight on the ticket, securing necessary labels (Carriers', First Class, Handle with Care, etc.) and sticking baggage identification tags on baggage, operating conveyor belt to transport baggage to sorting area The most important details in this text are the duties and responsibilities of the position. These duties include carrying out various clerical and reception activities related to transitting passengers and baggage, and connecting flights at Kuwait Airport.
They also issue excess baggage forms and receive payments accordingly. They also liaise with Airport Immigration and Security Authorities to ensure timely checking of boarding passengers', cabin and deck crew's passports, and obtain Immigration clearance for KAC and other carriers for releasing their flights. They may be assigned to any other unit of Passenger Services on shift, and will be expected to carry out all duties and responsibilities of these units/positions. Finally, they carry out other similar or related duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
The minimum requirements for this job include completion of secondary education, 2 years' experience in airport operation with an airline, good knowledge of English, and knowledge of relevant computer system and keyboard skills.
