Job Description
The Customer Service Duty Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day ground operations for British Airways. They will lead the ground handling team and handle any escalated ground handling issues. They will support the Airport Manager South Africa (APM) in the delivery of the British Airways operation, ensuring corporate and legislative safety and security standards are adhered to, monitoring local Service Level Agreements and performance managing all local suppliers. They will provide deputy reporting official coverage in the event of any serious/accident involving British Airways. To be successful in this role, they will need excellent communication and leadership skills, a strong understanding of ground handling best practices, and the ability to coach and mentor their team to success.
