Delta is seeking a Ramp Agent to join their innovative team and ensure the safe and timely delivery of passengers' baggage and cargo. This role is crucial for Delta's continued success, as it involves maintaining professionalism and a positive attitude. Ramp Agents work a shift of 20 to 40 hours per week, performing repetitive tasks such as loading and stacking bags, working in confined spaces, and working in harsh weather conditions. Their responsibilities include safely lifting, loading, unloading, and transporting baggage, mail, and cargo to and from aircraft, guiding incoming and departing aircraft, ensuring cargo safety, driving ground equipment, lifting and loading baggage onto carts, and operating baggage scanners and computers. The Ramp Agent also practices safety-conscious behaviors in all operational processes and procedures.
Job Requirements
The minimum qualifications for this position include a High School diploma, GED, or High School Equivalency, at least 18 years of age, a valid driver's license, proficiency in English, basic computer skills, strong verbal communication, ability to lift bags or items weighing up to 50 pounds, willingness to work a fixed or rotating schedule, passing a pre-employment drug test, physical ability test (PAT), extensive background check, being authorized to work in the US, and wearing company-approved Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
