Emirates Training Process
The Emirates cabin crew training process involves seven and a half weeks of rigorous training in safety and service delivery at a state-of-the-art facility in Dubai. The training includes:
- Induction Experience
- Safety and Emergency (SEP) training
- Group Medical Training (GMT)
- Security Training
- Emirates Hospitality Experience
- Uniform Learning Experience
- Service Learning Experience.
The first three days provide an introduction to the new joiner's home, Dubai, and the Emirates Group.
The SEP training covers aircraft equipment, fire-fighting, in-flight emergencies, and evacuation procedures.
The GMT training equips the new joiner with the skills to manage emergencies, including CPR, bleeding, burns, and emergency childbirth.
The Security Training includes the correct procedures, techniques, and skills to prevent and manage unruly behavior, hijacking, sabotage, and personal security.
The Emirates Hospitality Experience focuses on creating signature moments with excellence, enthusiasm, and attentiveness.
The Uniform Learning Experience focuses on preparing the new joiner to wear the iconic cabin crew uniform and represent Emirates.
The Service Learning Experience lasts 14 days, showcasing the quality of Emirates' inflight service at state-of-the-art facilities that simulate working on A380 and B777 aircraft.
Benefits and Offers
Starting Salary & Flying Pay
Pay includes fixed basic salary, hourly flight pay, and overseas meal allowance:
Basic salary AED 4,650 / month
Flying Pay AED 63.75 / hour. based on avg. 80-100 hours / month
Average Total Pay AED 10,388 / month (~USD 2,828, EUR 2,519 or GBP 2,165)
Approximate numbers for Grade II (Economy Class)
Emirates provides meal allowances for night stops, which are credited to salary in arrears the following month.
Traveling is an integral part of the job and lifestyle, with Emirates offering concessional travel tickets to help explore new cities.
The company provides furnished accommodation, including utilities, to its employees, with shared living spaces. After a probationary period, employees can request to move to another apartment pending availability. Visitors are not allowed past 01:00 unless they are Emirates (EK) crew, and two family members can stay in their accommodation twice a year for a maximum of 30 days.
Transportation is provided to and from work and training colleges.
Uniforms are provided free of charge, including dry-cleaning in designated outlets in Dubai.
Leave and leave travel are granted for 30 calendar days per year, with one free annual leave ticket provided to the country of origin. The ticket can be changed to any EK destination after 3 years of service.
Medical and insurance are provided to all cabin crew on a 24-hour worldwide basis, including life and personal accident insurance policies. Emirates also offers a comprehensive package for medical and dental services at designated Emirates Clinics. A non-contributory end of service benefit (EOSB) is provided upon contract completion.
Requirements
To be considered for Emirates cabin crew, candidates must be fluent in English, a team player, at least 160cm tall, meet UAE employment visa requirements, have at least 1 year of hospitality experience, have a minimum of Grade 12 education, and have no visible tattoos while in the cabin crew uniform
