Description
The Airport Operations Crew is responsible for providing exceptional customer service to airport customers. They check-in, verify personal identification, handle luggage, book and sell flight reservations, assist with arrivals and departures, prepare aircraft cabins, coordinate boarding and deplaning, assist with special needs, and comply with ad-hoc requests. Essential responsibilities include conducting computer check-ins, ensuring customer information is communicated, offering ancillary products, coordinating duties with coworkers, preparing aircraft cabins for boarding and departure, operating airport equipment, and assisting with special needs. Crew members must perform or rotate through all Airport Operations related functions, ensure a safe environment, and perform other duties as assigned. The ideal candidate should be comfortable speaking on a public address system and using computers and airport equipment.
Requirements
To be considered for this role, candidates must have a high school diploma or GED, at least 18 years of age, one year of customer service, volunteer, or sales experience, strong interpersonal and listening skills, fluency in English and Spanish, adherence to JetBlue Uniform Policy Manual Standards, ability to travel and work flexible shifts, experience using various applications, a valid Security Identification Display Area (SIDA) Badge, and experience performing under pressure and within time constraints. Depending on location, a valid driver license and a United States Customs Clearance may be required. Legal eligibility for the position is required, and candidates must pass a ten-year background check and pre-employment drug test. This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.
Preferred qualifications include two years of customer service, volunteer or sales experience, strong knowledge of customer service principles, experience with various payment methods, previous airline experience, and bilingual skills.
