Description
As a Flight Attendant, you will be responsible for performing all cabin duties, providing a safe and comfortable experience for passengers, maintaining knowledge of emergency procedures and equipment, operating emergency exits, and assisting passengers in stowing carry-on baggage. You will also maintain a neat and orderly cabin environment, contribute to a reliable and on-time operation, perform inflight sales and promotional duties, and assist other Customer Service staff with passenger handling.
You will also maintain a professional image, adherence to the Company uniform dress code, and comply with associate Rules of Conduct. You will also maintain the currency of inflight guides and manuals, and support the Company's core values and culture throughout the work environment. Additional duties may be assigned or required.
Requirements
To be considered for this role, applicants must have a high school diploma or GED, at least two years of customer service experience, and be 20 years old by the first interview date. Should also have previous flight attendant experience and possess polished interpersonal skills with a positive attitude.
The candidate must be able to work with animals and allergens, and not have visible tattoos on any parts of their body. Must not have more than two earrings per earlobe and facial piercings.
The candidate must be able to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures and governmental regulations, effectively present information to management, crew, passengers, and the general public, and speak and be understood in English. Must be willing to work in a time-sensitive environment and handle stress associated with meeting deadlines and managing unexpected changes.
The candidate must be able to remain calm, think, and react quickly in all types of emergency situations, including medical emergencies, aircraft decompression, evacuations, fires, security threats, passenger disturbances, and turbulence. Must also make day-to-day decisions, process information quickly, and act appropriately under high levels of stress.
The physical demands of the job include reaching and operating emergency equipment, lifting objects above shoulders, pushing and pulling moveable carts, walking and standing for extended periods, stooping, crouching, squatting, climbing, and kneeling. Must be able to see clearly at 20 feet or more, hear verbal communications, sit in an assigned jump seat, and move about aircraft freely and effectively.
The work environment characteristics include working in a culturally diverse atmosphere, accommodating customers' special needs/disabilities, working for extended periods, and traveling up to 100% of the time.
