Description
The Cargo Coordinator is responsible for the efficient and timely movement of cargo via passenger and freighter flights. Collaborating with the Ground Handling Agent, the incumbent will ensure contracted operational services align with Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and regulatory standards. Key responsibilities include optimizing resource utilization to meet operational goals and customer delivery standards, exceeding customer expectations through timely resolution of queries and complaints, and maintaining strict adherence to corporate safety, security, and quality policies to fulfill regulatory requirements and operational standards.
Requirements
- Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in an operations and sales function within the cargo/logistics industry.
- High School Diploma or minimum of five (5) CXC/CSEC/GCE Ordinary Level Passes, including Mathematics and English.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with emphasis on Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- In-depth knowledge of cargo operations and procedures.
- Experience in sales and marketing.
- Strong customer service orientation.
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
- Familiarity with a cargo reservations system.
- Knowledge of customs operations.
- Former supervisory experience.
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification.

- Ability to work shift hours in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Willingness to work on a shift basis as determined by the company.
- Legal authorization to reside and work in Barbados.
