Role Overview:
Kuwait Airways is actively recruiting for the position of Engineer II, Materials in the Engineering Department. In this role, you will be responsible for a range of tasks focused on purchase order administration, invoice dispute resolution, and insurance activities, among other duties related to material procurement and supplier management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Purchase Order Administration: Oversee the daily checking and processing of orders generated by MSCS. This includes monitoring due dates, liaising with suppliers to prevent delays, and working closely with the supervisor to address and resolve any supply issues.
- Urgent Purchase Orders: Create new purchase orders for urgently required spares to minimize stockouts and ensure timely availability of materials.
- Follow-up on Outstanding Orders: Track the status of outstanding purchase orders, investigate any delays, and communicate with suppliers to adjust delivery dates in alignment with supervisor recommendations.
- Weekly Order Review: Assist in reviewing weekly reports of overdue orders for critical items. This includes identifying possible alternative items and coordinating with other airlines for necessary item lending.
Requirements:
- Nationality: Kuwaiti National.
- Education: A B.Sc. in Aeronautical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, or equivalent qualifications. Alternatively, a Licensed Civil Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (Double License) with equivalent technical knowledge.
- Experience: A minimum of 4 years of experience in Airline Material, including 1-2 years in supplies activities and experience with computerized materials management systems.
- Language: Proficiency in English.
