What You’ll Do?
As a Flight Attendant Trainee, you’ll begin with a 6-week comprehensive training program (unpaid) designed to prepare you for FAA certification and a successful career in the skies. Once you earn your wings, you’ll:
- Prioritize Safety: Conduct pre-flight checks, demonstrate safety procedures, and respond calmly and effectively in emergency situations.
- Deliver Exceptional Service: Serve meals and beverages, assist with passenger needs, and create a welcoming and comfortable cabin environment.
- Adapt and Thrive: Manage irregular schedules, long hours, and diverse situations with professionalism and composure.
- Represent Our Brand: Uphold American Airlines’ standards in appearance, conduct, and service—both on and off the aircraft.
Job What You’ll Need to Succeed?
- Minimum Qualifications:
- At least 20 years of age
- High school diploma or GED
- 2+ years of customer service experience (e.g., retail, hospitality, education, healthcare)
- Ability to meet physical requirements: safely operate emergency exits, fit into jump seats, and move through the cabin aisle
- Valid U.S. or foreign passport with appropriate visas (must be valid through December 2026)
- Legal right to work in the U.S. and travel internationally without restrictions
- Flexibility to relocate to one of our base locations and work nights, weekends, holidays, and extended hours
- Willingness to serve on reserve status, which may last for several years
- Adherence to professional appearance standards: no visible tattoos, facial piercings, or more than one earring per ear
