The Opportunity
We are currently looking for Cabin Service and Cleaning Attendants to join our ground handling team here at Air Canada's Vancouver operation. This is a hands-on, fast-moving role with a simple but critical mission: making sure every aircraft leaves the gate on time with a clean, well-stocked, and safe cabin for our passengers. You will work quickly, pay close attention to detail, and move with purpose — because the departure clock never stops.
If you prefer a desk job, this is not for you. But if you like staying active, working as part of a diverse team, and taking pride in knowing that your work directly improves the passenger experience, keep reading.
What Your Day-to-Day Looks Like?
Your primary responsibility is to turn around aircraft interiors between flights. That means:
- Equipping each cabin with the necessary servicing supplies before departure
- Cleaning and inspecting aircraft interiors thoroughly and efficiently
- Vacuuming floors, wiping down surfaces, and replacing headrests as needed
- Restocking seat pockets with fresh magazines, safety information cards, and other materials
You will not be sitting still. You will be moving through multiple aircraft each shift, working against departure timelines, and coordinating with other ground crew to make sure nothing is missed.
What You Need to Qualify?
This role carries real responsibility — aircraft safety and on-time performance depend on your work. Here is what we require:
- Availability to work shifts (evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays — this is a 24/7 operation)
- Ability to lift heavy objects and work efficiently under strict time pressure
- A valid driver's license
- Punctuality and dependability — your team counts on you to show up and perform
- Ability to obtain and maintain all required transportation security clearances (refer to Transport Canada guidelines for details)
Conditions of Employment – Please Read Carefully:
- You must be eligible to work in Canada at the time of any job offer. Securing work permits or visas is your sole responsibility.
- You must attend full-time training in person — attendance is mandatory.
- This role involves safety-critical work. You will be subject to a medical evaluation, including a drug and alcohol test, and must be free of any intoxicating substances.
Languages
If qualifications are otherwise equal, preference will be given to bilingual candidates.
